A slightly different attraction this one as it's underground, cool and completely different to everything else. The cistern was discovered fairly recent, which I don't believe how and is an amazing array of pillars and small walkways over a large expanse of water. It costs about 10TL to enter and there is a rather tacky gift shop inside. I found myself spending so much time down here just because I found the silence calming.
Super cool setting that was actually used in From Russia With Love.

At the back corner of the cistern is the medusa pillar. Just a nicely carved pillar that makes everyone try to turn their heads 180 degrees.
This one is of a partially deaf god who suffered from insomnia and was told to put her head under a pillow.
